A Passionate Pursuit of Innovation

Founded by Norge Wang, a middle-aged entrepreneur from Shenzhen, China, Norge Eik is a brand driven by passion and family. As a father, husband, and son, I created this brand to combine my love for designing sports equipment with the joy of sharing my 12-year-old daughter's enthusiasm for ice hockey. This personal connection fuels my dedication to developing innovative products that enhance athletic experiences.

Learning from Failure

Working independently allows me to tailor every detail to my vision, although it requires meticulous cost management. My first project, a knee brace, was a commercial failure, resulting in a $30,000 loss. Knee braces have a low technical threshold, making innovation in materials or structure challenging. Even my own design appeared lackluster.

Commitment to Originality

My subsequent projects, FLEXBAND and STEELREBOUND, reflect my commitment to originality by combining unique materials and structures for ice hockey and soccer. My fourth project, an ice hockey rebounder, took a year to perfect and remains my proudest creation to date.

Authenticity Over Imitation

Imitating and copying other products won't bring me any pride or joy. I hope that each product I develop has its own unique imprint. Choosing the North American market reflects my understanding of the importance of competitive sports in Western culture. Despite potential challenges, including cultural conflicts and the stigma of “Made in China,” I will not hide my identity and strive to design valuable products through my efforts.
